| (1) | The Ombud may request information in writing from a person who has information on the subject of the investigation or who has in his or her possession or under his or her control any book, document or other object relating to the investigation. |
| (2) | Should the person fail to comply with a request in terms of sub-rule (1), the Ombud may issue a summons against that person to ensure compliance. |
